Why we do it
While
Rutherford County is quickly becoming an
economic force, many residents are facing
difficult times this year due to the
downturn in the housing industry and the
extensive drought that has devastated local
farmers. In fact, more than 11,000
Rutherford County children live in
low-income families, many of whom will have
little to celebrate this holiday season.
That’s why Home Builders Care of Rutherford
County agreed to partner
with the Marine
Corps to be the local sponsor for Toys for
Tots.
What we do
In 2006:

2,700 Rutherford County tots were served

Nearly 100
volunteers distributed more than $70,000
worth of brand new toys to children

aged 0-16 years participated; nominated
for participation by School Guidance

Our History
For more
than 10 years, Rose Yost helped the
children of Rutherford County through
the Miles of Dimes Program. For the 4th
year we continue her work through Home
Builder’s Care Toys for Tots, in
association with the US Marine Corp.

charitable foundation created by the
Rutherford County Home Builders
Association whose main purpose is
promoting building industry careers
among children who are not
college-bound.
