Chairman Type of Parade: Showcase Site AND simultaneous Scattered Site.SHOWCASE SITE: Puckett Station, Murfreesboro, with homes will ranging from $350,000 to $500,000+. Admission will be charged and decoration is required. SCATTERED SITES: will include both single home sites and group sites of 3 or more homes in one subdivision. No admission charge, no decoration required. Parade Dates: Two weekends, Friday through Sunday. June 6-8 & June 13-15.Hours: Fridays, 10 am - 8 pm; Saturdays, 10 am - 8 pm; and Sundays, 11 am - 6 pm.Preview Gala: Thursday, June 5, from 5-8 pm; Hosted by Ole South Properties and Averwater Construction.Fee to Public: Showcase Site: $10 per person, unlimited use. Scattered Sites: None.Decoration: Showcase Site: Decoration required. Scattered Sites: None required; however, a special “Decorator Home” designation will indicate on the map those homes which have entered the Decorator Competition.Awards: Judge’s awards for various categories, including “Best in Show,” with an additional “Decorator Best in Show” award presented to the best home decorator. People’s Choice award for “Best in Show.”Scattered Site Entries: Entries must be located within Rutherford County; must be new construction. Entry Deadline: May 12, 2008.Parade Advertising: The advertising budget will include some combination of various magazine, newspaper (Murfreesboro, Nashville and surrounds), radio, television media, and other advertising vehicles.Vendor Booths: A limited number of vendor booths will be available. There will be a give-away incentive to further encourage traffic.Penalties: No penalty if the home is not complete on time; however, there will be no refunds. Unfinished entries will not be eligible to compete in judging and will be allowed open only by decision of the Parade committee.Magazine: Provided free of charge at Showcase Site with ticket purchase. A quantity will be provided to each “Homes Today” entry. There will be a separate newspaper insert with detailed maps showing, site locations and special designations, if applicable; general info (directions, price, square footage, etc.).Deadline for Magazine ad copy: April 25, 2008 Scattered site entries received after the Magazine deadline may advertise in the Murfreesboro Post Insert which will be inserted in the June 1st paper, and again on June 8. The map and directions will be run, also, in the Daily News Journal, twice, prior to the event.Final deadline for Newspaper Inserts: May 23, ‘08
